Drugstore Beauty Products I Can’t Live Without

I am no stranger to dropping a pretty penny on skin care and beauty products. I could claim Sephora as my second home. Having said that, I am by no means a ‘high-end’ beauty snob. If I find a drugstore product that works just as well,  I have no problem switching!

I’ll admit, I have tried a lot of drugstore products in my day that I labeled as just ‘meh’.  I usually justified how good they were because of their value; but most of the time I didn’t LOVE them enough to keep using them or rebuying for a second time.

So with that said, this list doesn’t simply consists of drugstore products that I’ve tried and liked… It consists of drugstore products that I’ve been using for years and products that I can’t live without.

(If you are looking for budget friendly options, you can find so many amazing blogs out there that specifically focus on that…)

Enough of me rambling… Here are my tried and true/gotta have/can’t live without drugstore finds:

1. CeraVe Renewing SA Cream

Living in Utah, I am no stranger to extremely dry skin. For those people that live in humid climates, I’m referring to that ‘life sucked out of me, aged 10 years over night, dry skin (oh the joys of living in the desert)’. I also get those annoying tiny bumps on the back of my legs and arms that seem to never go away no matter what I use.

My amazing dermatologist recommended CeraVe SA cream for my dry skin. CeraVe SA cream contains Salicylic acid which helps exfoliate and soften rough and bumpy skin.

Let me tell you… this shit is LIFE CHANGING.

This is the only cream that gets rid of those pesky bumps. The cream is super thick but goes on easily and leaves my skin nice and hydrated all day long. Bonus is that it is scent free.

This cream is on the pricier side but it’s 100% worth it!

2. Ardell Multipack Demi Wispies Lashes

I’ve tried a handful of expensive lashes but I always seem to migrate back to the Ardell brand. My favorite is the Demi Wispies in black!  A little flirty but still natural.

Most expensive lash companies claim you can reuse their lashes 10 -15 times. Can we be honest with one another for just one second?  Raise your hand if you are guilty of coming home after a long night and ripping your lashes off right there in the driveway? I usually wake up to find one strip of lashes on the bathroom floor and the other on my nightstand (I call that talent).

I think I’ve reused my lashes  a total of three times before but that’s because I was on vacation in Thailand when I ran out …. 9 times out of 10 they are a one time use no matter how expensive.

I love Ardell lashes because they are easy to apply and there are TONS of different varieties to choose from making it super easy to customize your look. You can re-use them if you’re careful with them; but since they are so inexpensive you can rip ’em off and throw ’em on the wall if you feel like it.

Plus, if you run out you can simply drive down to your local Walgreens and pick up a new pair.

I’m all about convenience.

3. Sibu Sea Berry Therapy Polishing Facial Cleanser

So this product isn’t in ALL drug stores and you may have to do a little bit of research to find a store that carries it. My local grocery store carries this product (Harmons) and I have seen it in most WholeFood stores in Utah.

I’m going to write an entire blog post about this because I am that obsessed with it. I’ve been using this cleanser religiously for about 5 years now, which is a LONG time for me.

This facial cleaner contains Sea Berry (Sea Buckthorn) which is SO incredibly good for you.  I’m honestly shocked more people in the US don’t know about it; Sea Berry is very popular in Russia. I could go on and on about the health benefits of SeaBerry but Ill save it for it’s own post…

This daily cleanser exfoliates your skin gently but effectively and leaves you with clean and baby soft skin.

I’m obsessed.

I’ll honestly never-ever stray from this cleanser.

4. Jergens Natural Glow Mousse

Whenever I need a last minute tan I always reach for this stuff. It dries super fast, doesn’t make my skin smell like a hotdog, and doesn’t leave me streaky and discolored. I’ve tried a lot of different self-tanning products and this one is definitely my favorite when it comes to drugstore instant self-tanners.

5. Batiste Dry Shampoo

This company has developed somewhat of a cult following with nearly a 5 star rating and over 3,000 + reviews on Ulta. I don’t know what their secret is… but they definitely know what they are doing when it comes to dry shampoo.

I’ve tried some high-end and expensive dry shampoos that are just “meh”  and always leave me wanting more. I’ve got thin/greasy hair…  My scalp needs ALL the help!!!

This $5 bottle is fcking amazing and gets the job done; which at the end of the day, is exactly what we want from a dry shampoo.

6. Aquaphor Lip Repair

Where has this been all my life?  If you struggle with chapped and cracked lips… this is your new best friend. Most chapsticks actually dry out my lips and leave me angry and flakey. This stuff keeps your lips moist, plump, and happy for hours. I usually throw this on while I get ready to ensure perfectly moist lips when its time to put on my lip stick.

There you have it! The list isn’t very long BUT I will testify that all of the beauty products are 100% amazing!

Do you have any beauty drugstore favorites that I should add to the list? Let me know!
