How To Have The Perfect Las Vegas Weekend

If you’re not careful, your weekend in Las Vegas can quickly turn into a non-stop party, full of copious amounts of champagne followed by hangovers bad enough to put down Mike Tyson. Don’t get me wrong; there is nothing wrong with a partying; it IS Vegas after all.  But I’ll be the first to admit that I’ve had one too many Vegas trips where the trip ended  in Vegas =1 Olya =0.

We recently celebrated my fiancés birthday in Las Vegas with some of our really good friends. We had a blast and I’m proud to say that our long weekend turned into what I would classify as the Perfect Vegas Vacation. So perfect that I wanted to write a quick blog about what we did and how we did it.

Here is a recap of my weekend and how I made  the most out of my Vegas vacation and still came out on top (and alive!)

We stayed at the Wynn, one of my favorite hotels in Las Vegas. This resort really has it all: GREAT restaurants, world renowned night clubs, beautiful and spacious rooms, gorgeous people, and one of the best spas I’ve ever been to. We’ve stayed at all of the major hotels on the strip but we seem to always come back to the Wynn.

We started our weekend out with a little retail therapy at The Forum Shops in Caesar’s Palace. This is my favorite place to shop because you can enjoy designer stores like Valentino and Gucci as well as more affordable shops like Marciano, Guess, and All Saints (my favorite!).

TIP: If you plan on shopping while in Vegas, do it as soon as you land. You’ll be feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed and can even pick out some cute outfits for your nights out on the town.  Don’t wait until later in your trip to shop. Trust me, shopping while hungover is pure hell.  Been there, done that.

In the evening we headed out to one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas called Rose. Rabbit.Lie.  I love variety and things that are different from the norm.  Rose. Rabbit. Lie. is just that! Not only do they have some of the best food on the strip, they also provide you with plenty of entertainment during your dinner.

The atmosphere here is part Alice in Wonderland and part Speak Easy. The decor is super cute; they really focus on the details, which I love, and the food is out of this world. If there’s one thing I recommend it’s getting  the caviar tacos. Oh my God!

Ordering one of their creative drink concoctions is a must  and  you absolutely HAVE to end your meal with a chocolate garden to share. It’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen; everything is edible!

Throughout dinner you get to watch various acts like a live band, singers, and tap dancers. It’s such a fun vibe and a great place for a date or a celebration with friends.

We wanted to keep the first night pretty mellow because we set up a spa day for the following morning and we didn’t want to feel like total shit. Hungover massages are never fun.  We ended up at a little bar at the Cosmopolitan Hotel which  had an amazing guitarist who played everything from classics to popular hits.

The next morning we went to the Spa at the Wynn.  Three words → Heaven. On. Earth. Hands down one of the best spas in the world!

TIP: Plan your spa day BEFORE your crazy nights out. If your entire itinerary consists of night clubs then head to the spa when you first arrive to Las Vegas. I know some people will say, “but going to the spa cures your hangover”. Yeah, that might be true to some extent, but I would hate to waste a good spa day TRYING to recover.

After our ahhhh-mazing massages I went back to the room to cake my face while Jason gambled. That evening we  met up with some good friends and headed to a new show called Baz at The Palazzo. If you like sparkle, love stories, amazing dresses from the 20’s, and some of the MOST INCREDIBLE voices, you’ll absolutely love Baz. It’s a musical mashup of The Great Gatsby, Moulin Rouge, and Romeo and Juliet.  It was such a good show! I highly recommend it.

After the show it was time to party party party with our friends at Omnia night club. This is my favorite club in Las Vegas. The design, layout, and special effects are mind blowing. They really pulled out all the stops when designing this nightclub.  Is there anyway I can get that million dollar chandelier installed in my home?!

It’s impossible to NOT have an amazing time here.  Our friends hired a magician for our table which was honestly so fucking cool! The night was filled with champagne, good friends, dancing, and more champagne.

The next morning I woke up feeling a little rough around the edges. What’s the best way to cure a hangover? Uhhh….champagne brunch, Duh!  If you are hungover, a mimosa is your only cure. Doctors orders. 🙂 Why spend the morning laying around in bed miserable? You’re in Vegas baby.

I beat my face, threw on a cute little brunch number,  and went to one of our favorite places for brunch → Lavo Brunch. Now, don’t let the term ‘brunch’ fool you. This is not your ordinary brunch. It’s more of a brunch on steriods. Yes, there is food and the food is VERY good. Perfect comfort food to help cure your hangover from the night before. The pizza, avocado toast (so basic), and truffle fries are delicious. After brunch the place turns into a full-on club with dancers, DJs, dancing on tables, glow sticks, and more champagne.  Its actually a really good time!

After brunch half of us went to gamble and the other  half decided to take a nap. Since I’m old, I opted for a nap. We decided to stay in our hotel room for our last night in Vegas (something we rarely do but it just felt right). We threw on our robes, ordered room service, pigged out, and enjoyed some quality one-on-one time together.

The next morning we packed up and headed to the airport feeling like we had just accomplished a perfect weekend in Las Vegas.  A little retail therapy, a visit to the spa, champagne brunch, amazing Vegas show, nightclub shenanigans, and quality time together.

What really helped us out was planning out our nights and days in advance. This way we were able to enjoy everything that Las Vegas has to offer without feeling like total shit on our way home.

TIP: I HIGHLY recommend ending your trip with a little IV therapy to hydrate you and cure any potential hangovers you may have.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
