Ultimate Girls Getaway Destinations for 2018

Some of my favorite childhood memories involved sleepovers with my girlfriends.  We braided each others hair, ate so much candy that our stomach would ache from all of the sugar, watched scary movies, and talked about our crushes until 4 am.  It seemed like life just couldn’t get any better.

A few weeks ago I went on a girls only getaway to see J Lo for my birthday. Which, by the way, was one of the best concerts I’ve been to in a while! The weekend consisted of endless amounts of champagne, laughing, crying, dancing, lots of eating, and more fun than I could have imagined.

It was a weekend I’ll never forget.

I came home feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Okay, so maybe not PHYSICALLY  rejuvenated and refreshed thanks to all of the champagne we consumed, but you get what I mean.  It was almost therapeutic;  like a mental reset.

That night, while I was unpacking and nursing a small (okay, more like GIANT) hangover, memories from the weekend would randomly pop up in my head and uncontrollable waves of laughter would sweep over me. I felt like my twelve year old self the morning after a sleepover with my best friends.

♥ The BEST feeling ever ♥

The following day, and post hangover, the girls and I agreed via group chat that we had to start planning our next all girls getaway  A-S-A-f*cking-P .

We quickly put together a list of ultimate girls getaway destinations.  I wanted to share this list with you guys just in case you were getting an itch to getaway with your girl gang for the weekend but you didn’t know where to go.

Napa Valley

When I think of girls trips I think of pampering, wine, and food. I’m pretty sure Napa Valley checks all of the boxes. Think massages in the morning, vineyard tours on bikes in the afternoon, and mouth watering culinary experiences at night.

Wear: Breezy summer dresses perfect for wine tasting and strolling through gorgeous vineyards.

Stay:  Senza Boutique Resort // Andaz Napa

Eat:  The French Laundry  // Farmstead at Long Meadow Ranch

Palm Springs

If you’re looking for LA cool, vintage shopping, lounging by the pool, and unicorn floaties, then Palm Springs is definitely for you!  Plus, lets be honest, unless it’s for Coachella, do you know of ANY guy that is dying to spend a weekend in Palm Springs?  Probably not. Simply putted, Palm Springs was made for girls trips.

Wear: Desert/vintage/retro chic – bright colors, big hats, and TONS of pool attire (obviously)

Stay:  Saguaro Hotel //  The Avalon Hotel // Parker Hotel

Eat:  Cheeky’s Palm Spring (must do for brunch!)  // Workshop Kitchen

If you’re looking for a spa themed weekend where you and your girlfriends can partake in some serious pampering  then Scottsdale should definitely be on your radar. After a day full of R &R it’s time to head into town where you will be sure to find plenty of amazing restaurants and nightlife options. Plus, who doesn’t like 330 days of sunshine a year?

Wear:  Robe attire courtesy of whatever spa you visit, Levi cut offs, ankle boots, and boho dresses

Stay:  Andaz Scottsdale // Four Seasons // Omni Scottsdale

Eat:  Olive and Ivy // Citizen Public House

new york city

Cue Sex and The City’s theme song…right…now.  All you have to do is channel your inner Carrie Bradshaw and you’ll end up with a perfect girls weekend in NYC.  What could be better than a super trendy brunch spot in Soho and then shopping on 5th Avenue with your besties?  And that’s just during the day! The evenings consist of swanky martini bars and amazing Broadway Shows.

Wear: Comfortable shoes, black denim, neutrals, trendy leather jacket

Stay: SIXTY SOHO // Hotel Hugo // Archer Hotel

Eat:  Vandal Restaurant //  Bagatelle NYC (brunch + champange showers + super man?)

Austin Texas

If I could describe Austin in one word it would be quirky. There’s tons of art, live music, line dancing, and delicious chicken and waffles. I would book a girls trip JUST for the chicken and waffles, TBH. You can also go kayaking, paddle boarding, or bat watching (if that’s your thing).

Wear: Anything goes here. Indie cool vibe, vintage tees, and western style ankle boots

Stay: Driskill Hotel // Hotel St. Cecelia // Archer Hotel

Eat: Josephine House // Uchi // 24 Diner (when you want your chicken and waffles at 4 am)// Any food truck you run into after bar hopping.

las Vegas

If you are ready to ‘Paaaarrtay with the best of friends’ (my all time favorite quote from Bridesmaids) then Las Vegas is definitely for you. Las Vegas, however, doesn’t have to be all about the parties (although they are a lot of fun). Las Vegas is a perfect girls getaway because you have so many options right there at your finger tips. There are amazing restaurants, endless amounts of pools to relax at, amazing world renowned shows, concerts, pool parties, night clubs galore, and all the shopping you’ll ever need!  The options really are endless. Here,  you can create the perfect girls trip itinerary no matter what your style is.

Wear: Cocktail dresses

Stay: Wynn // Aria // Cosmopolitan

Eat: Rose. Rabbit. Lie (supperclub) // TAO // Herringbone (Amazing brunch with an outdoor patio)

TULUM, mexico

Organic food, yoga retreats, eco-hotels, and white sandy beaches. Although Tulum is gaining popularity at a VERY rapid pace, it is still considered to be off the beaten path compared to Cancun or Playa. The laid-back atmosphere in Tulum is perfect for a girls retreat with daily yoga, bike rides, delicious (and healthy) food, and obviously plenty of beach time.

Wear: Cool boho beach vibe

Stay: Azulik Resort // Sanara Tulum // Be Tulum

Eat:  Wild // Arca // Hartwood
